Did you know that every 9 seconds in the US, a woman is assaulted or beaten? That’s nearly 20 people per minute. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million people. This statistic is shocking. Unfortunately, that number only seems to increase each year. The Safe Space organization is committed to preventing this as much as possible by reducing relationship violence and sexual assault in Franklin, North Carolina, and nearby communities. Our agency values the diligent work Safe Space has done to assist our neighbors in need and is pleased to announce our continued support in achieving its ambitious goal.

Safe Space exists to show these victims of abuse they are not just a statistic. Since opening its doors in 1995, it has assisted hundreds of victims and their children. It seeks to fulfill its mission using four main objectives: providing and developing supportive services, creating awareness of domestic and sexual violence, building a community response, and advocating for perpetrator accountability.

Safe Space offers various services to help victims of domestic and sexual violence in its community and continually look for volunteers to assist those in need. This support and network of resources strive to form meaningful relationships that encourage abuse victims to achieve their goals and transform into self-sufficient individuals.
